 Delightful Road Culture
How do you get culture? Metaphorically, it's like a four way automobile intersection. If the cars were to collide, you would have a transformation by crash--several forces acting on each other. Although, thankfully, there was no crash here, this story is the perfect illustration of that metaphor. The author invited us "passengers" into his eventful, rich world. We ride along for forty years safely ensconced in his 1965 Chevrolet meeting his wife, family, friends and the people and places of semi-rural America. All of this combined to create culture for the author and in a small way, create culture for those that "touched" the author and his car. What a ride it was.....is.....
The author warmly and delightfully conveys all of these lessons through the lens of his 1965 Chevrolet. Overall, a teriffic story for the car enthusiaist, historian, cultural anthropolgist or anyone who simply desires a book for a thoughtful, relaxing read that will leave you smiling.
