A good supplementary book On the plus side, there's a good deal of great content and advice in here, covering the key aspects of kart racing. It's also written in a very straightforward manner, and contains almost no technical content so beginners won't feel intimidated. This is, as the title says, a book focused solely on the driving aspects.
Less impressive, however, is the fact that not many images are used (and there's even fewer diagrams), and they're all in black and white.
It's also rather short, meaning some areas aren't covered in perhaps as great a detail as you might like/expect.
As such, I wouldn't recommend it as a primary book on karting - there are more comprehensive and better detailed/illustrated books available (Karting: Everything You Need to Know and Haynes' The Karting Manual come to mind). But as an additional purchase to accompany one of those more substantial publications, it's certainly worth a read.
Great info I got this book because I wanted to get to know Kart racing a little better and someday go to Bob's school. I have to say this book gave a lot of great information about Kart racing. I would highly recommend this book to any future or present racer. I would also recommend Bob Bondurant on High Performance Driving. Both books give you the best info next to learning from Bob himself of course:)
General book but lacks depth. This book's content is very similar to Memo Gidley's book. Memo's book is in color and is more up to date. Memo's book also has slightly more information. You only need one of these books. Get Memo's if you need an overview of karting. You won't find detailed advanced driving techniques in either.
You should have it. Well, I do have some experience in karting and thought that it will be very difficult to find out something new. But from that book I've learned at least a few new tricks. Don't think that I could have reached them by my self. But still there is a sense of some mention failure (as if the author leaves something for him self or just want you to learn the most important thing only).
friend advice Simple. general.
Not technical book. Complete guide for beguiners
